TSEK Financial Data service provides you in an easy to use form all the financial data you need, in order to examine the financial position of a business, without needing specialized financial knowledge.
Combining them with the Tiresias data you are able to:

Which information it provides
Simply by searching the VAT of the businesses you are interested in, their balance sheets for eight years, both in concise and complete form, with financial ratios as well as all the available announcements published in the General Commercial Registry appear in TSEK platform.
Moreover, sector financial data are provided, in order to analyze their relevant financial position.
In total, you may find more than 220.000 balance sheets for the last three (3) years and 138.000 sector indicators.
Financial information are updated on a daily basis by a specialized team of Tiresias, who monitor all the business publications posted on the General Commercial Registry and provide the supportive data and graphs.
For an even easier assessment of the probability of default of a company based on its balance sheet data, you may consult the TSEK Bi report, which provides you with a reliable index that Tiresias has designed, in order to assess a company's creditworthiness.
More specifically, Financial Data consist of:
SELECTED FINANCIAL DATA
For each company we have selected six key elements of the financial statements and three key financial ratios, with a trend graph, for the four recent years, as well as in comparison with its respective sector.
- Net Sales (Turnover): The total revenue recorded by the company from its operation throughout the reference fiscal year, minus returns and discounts. Turnover, Total Assets and Number of Employees are the three criteria that determine the size of a company.
- Net Profit / Loss before tax: The financial result (profit or loss) before tax recorded by the company from its operation throughout the reference fiscal year. It shows whether the fiscal year was profitable or loss making, as well as the size of the profit or loss.
- Total Assets: The total assets and receivables against third parties of a company. It includes fixed assets and current assets (inventory plus receivables plus cash).
- Net Working Capital (Current Assets – Current Liabilities): A measure of the company's liquidity and short-term financial health. Calculated from the difference: Current Assets minus Current Liabilities. Positive working capital indicates that the company can finance its current operations and invest in its growth.
- Net Equity (Net Worth): The book value of the company’s equity. Equal to the difference: Total Assets (total assets and receivables held by the company) minus Total Liabilities (what the company owes). It shows the book value that would result if all of the company's assets were sold and all of its liabilities to creditors were paid off.
- Long Term Liabilities: Liabilities with a repayment term of more than one year. They usually include the balance of fixed assets loans (buildings, machinery, equipment, etc.)
- Current Ratio or Working Capital Ratio: It measures the company's ability to pay its short-term liabilities from current assets. Calculated from the fraction: Current assets to current liabilities. The ratio should always be compared to the sector’s average to which the company belongs. Increased liquidity enables the company, after meeting its regular working capital needs, to have a safety margin for any unforeseen expenses and/or to take advantage of opportunities e.g. buying raw materials at a low price.
- Debt - Equity Ratio: It is an indicator of financial leverage. Calculated from the fraction: Total Liabilities to Net Worth. The higher the ratio, the more leveraged the company is.
- Pretax Profit Margin - %: The net income (before tax) generated by the company as a percentage of its sales. It is used to monitor the company's performance over time and to compare it to the average margin of the sector that the company belongs.
Balance sheets for the eight (8) most recent years are available in the TSEK platform. The service provides:
- Basic Balance Sheet data
- 27 basic Balance Sheet data (Assets & Liabilities) of a company and/or the group of companies, where applicable, for each of the four (4) most recent years
- change (%) of the two (2) most recent years and
- a graph showing the trend
- Financial Ratios For every balance sheet available in the TSEK there are:
- 27 financial ratios (Liquidity, Capital Structure & Sustainability, Activity and Profitability) for each of the four (4) most recent years
- a graph showing the trend
- Copy of the original Balance Sheets Τhe original balance sheet documents for the eight (8) most recent years as published in the General Commercial Registry in a pdf format.
For the company you searched for, sector data are also provided, in particular:
- 1. Basic Balance Sheet data
- The number of companies belonging to the specific main sector for two years and how many of them are profitable (profits after taxes).
- List of the companies in the sector included in the calculation of the financial data, where you can see:
- VAT number
- Company name
- ZIP code of its headquarters
- Size and
- Turnover
- Consolidated 22 basic financial data for two years
- Comparison with the respective basic financial data of the company being searched.
- Financial Ratios
- 27 financial ratios (liquidity ratios, financial structure and viability ratios, activity of efficiency ratios) for two (2) years
- Comparison with the respective financial ratios of the company being searched
Notes on sector financial ratios are also provided, so that you are aware of the parameters based on which the financial ratios are calculated.
The Financial Data service also provides:
- Quick overview of all the information available about a company, e.g. General Commercial Registry number, VAT number, BoD members, address, status (active, inactive etc., capital, years active, stocks etc.)
- All the company’s published announcements (company launch, BoD changes etc.) in a chronological order in .pdf format
Financial Data History
The balance sheets and announcements published in the General Commercial Registry that you searched, are stored in your TSEK account and are available for review or processing at no extra cost.
Alerts Service
Activating the Alerts service of TSEK, you are immediately informed by email and a message appearing on the TSEK platform about any new balance sheets or announcements in the General Commercial Registry added in the TSEK platform for the monitored companies you have chosen.
Business Reports
You may extract the Financial Data along with the Tiresias Data of the company you searched for in the detailed Business Report, to further process the information.
How you gain access
After logging in to TSEK platform with your personal credentials, you enter the VAT of the company you are searching for and by selecting Search, you see the company data. Then, by selecting Financial Data, you gain access to business information of the company.
